Sneaky, Sneaky! How to Volunteer Anonymously
Volunteerism is one of the things that matters most to the Tom's of Maine brand. I'm always giving back in quirky ways, but this article assignment had me really digging deep into my reserves of inspiration. Why? Because Tom's has already covered a few dozen topics on volunteering this way, that way, and even upside-down. So to craft this one, I had to come up with ways to serve someone else without being found out...and in a way the blog hadn't already mentioned. Whew!
Thankfully, humanity was a step ahead of me, and had me covered. I scoured a few off-beat headlines to see what good people were up to, and I couldn't believe what I found.
Random Acts of Pizza.
7 Cups of Tea.
Snail Mail Love.
Tissue and blood donation.
And so much more!
You'll be just as impressed as I am at what these humans are up to. There is still good left in the world! And we can be a part of it.
Are you excited to see the final product? I'm delighted to share it with you. Here it is: Sneaky, Sneaky! How to Volunteer Anonymously: 5 Creative Ways.
I hope you enjoy readying it as much as I enjoyed crafting it.
P.S. - If you could offer a bit of advice to other freelance writers, it would be - you guessed it - volunteer regularly. Your creativity is inert without empathy for others, and you can't fabricate that feeling in a vacuum. Or a Skype call. Or your comments board. Or even with your self-sufficient friends and neighbors. I've gotten more inspiration from (regularly) serving others than from any other activity, and that fuels my work.
